One day as the sun was setting they stumled straight into a bear! They could count themselves lucky. The bear was fat from eating well all summer and tired due to the winter scent in the wind. Our trio might well have been considered a snack by a starving bear, but as it was now the beer experienced the dogs like nasty little pests. All three of them were snarling, darting back and fort, nipping and biting. The bear had no chance or getting near enough to hurt them! Especially Toker, the little cull, proved what a feroucious predator he really was! It didn't take long before the dogged harrassment got too much for the bear and he ran away, bawling a protest. The three dogs didn't take pursuit. They stood there looking long after the huge bear. Proud and cocky. A while later they took off in a trot. Pride gave extra spring and energy to their steps!
